Bocaire Country Club’s Grand Gatsby Gala Celebrates Opening of Clubhouse Following Major Renovations

More than 200 members and guests were on hand for Bocaire Country Club’s Grand Gatsby Gala, held on March 8 to celebrate the recent completion of major renovations to the unique community’s spectacular clubhouse and other amenities.

With a black, white and gold Grand Gatsby theme, the celebration welcomed honored guest, Palm Beach County Commissioner and former Boca Raton Mayor Steven Abrams, Bocaire Board President Marvin Padover and Bocaire Chief Executive Officer Russell Carlson.

During his brief comments, Abrams told guests that he was familiar with several country clubs in his South Palm Beach County district that had undergone major upgrades but that now, with the completion of its $10.5 million in improvements, Bocaire is leading the way.

A boutique-sized country club noted for its 300 acres of beautiful fairways, lakes and landscaped vistas, Bocaire now offers an impressive clubhouse with a refreshing ambiance. Improvements include new sconces and carpets, plus dazzling reflection pools at the main entrance. At the same time, the clubhouse remains a comfortable setting for members to gather with friends over a glass of wine or delicious dinner.

In addition to the clubhouse upgrades, Bocaire now has a brand-new Aquatic Center, complete with ‘beach’ entry, “a relaxing, temperature-controlled pool area with two 75-foot dedicated lap lanes and a tranquil spa, surrounded by a 9,100-square-foot natural stone sundeck with two shaded pavilions,” according to a recent issue of Boca Piquant.

In planning the renovations, Bocaire’s board focused on improvements that would not only appeal to existing residents but to potential residents as well.

“Our goal was to bring the club into the future,” Padover said.
